I just keep thinking, this is it: this is what I've always dreamed of doing and I did it. I followed through with my lifelong goal.... to write a book.

And now, we shall see how the world at large views my debut novel. I genuinely hope that it is the book so many people deserve... Chuck Palahniuk, as my friend recently told me, said that you have to write the book you want to read, and I honestly believe I did that. I wanted a book filled with characters that were flesh and blood and filled with complexities... I wanted a book where there were people of all races, where there were people of all sexualities and where all of those things were just elements of reality and not the most interesting thing about any of my characters... (Thank you to Orphan Black for giving us the amazing infamous line "my sexuality is not the most interesting thing about me" because it helped guide the goal of creating a world that I'm proud of). 

Anyways, it's out there... it's live. My dream is growing... Now I want to be successful too.
