2023 so far...
2023 has started out with a busy couple of weeks.
After the Christmas show ended on New Year's Eve, I felt pretty burnt out, but there really wasn't much time to rest. I had hockey on the second day of the year, which is a real challenge and exhausting.
If I'm being totally honest, it wears me out more than anything I've ever done, but I refuse to quit. I love learning new skills on the ice, and the best part is I'm connecting with local women who also love a challenge. I am hoping to find real friends here, and being on a team is a great place to start. I got my jersey last week at practice. I'm officially part of Victor Foxes. How cool. My first game is next Saturday. I'm a little nervous but excited by the prospect.
On the second day of the year, I also made a big personal change. I decided to switch my hair up and got a new hairstyle. Bangs and dark purple have replaced the wild curly red. I love it. Think it really refreshed my vibe in the best way.
Just hope I can keep it for the valentine's show. Otherwise I'm wearing a wig. Speaking of, auditions are today for the second year of Butte-iful Love stories are this afternoon, since I have hockey practice tomorrow. Wish me luck!
Craziest thing about life is how it never stops. My oldest turned sixteen on Thursday and I just can't believe time has flown by. She's becoming this amazing human, and I really am excited to see where she ends up in life. For now, I am treasuring our time together bc soon enough she will have a big amazing life of her own.
Oh, and a new update on my farm life: We finally got a truck. A Toyota Tundra in burnt Sienna is in my driveway right now. Of course my 7yo is thrilled since she's been after us to get one since we moved to Colorado (maybe before that). Next big purchase will be the horse trailer to tow them to the arena for kid the third to practice with Durango.
Anyways, that's all I've got for now. 2023 isn't bad so far...
lots of love
